Jeff and I celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary on Saturday. I cannot believe that it has been 5 years already. Time goes by so fast when you are having fun – just so much going on all the time. It has been a wonderful 5 years and 10 years together in total. Looking back at pictures now, we look so young.
I was a little on the edge as to if I was going to be up for our fun Saturday and overnight. On Friday I woke up to a blood red eye that was constantly watering. Livie had pink eye the week before so I figured that she had given it to me along with the cold that I had had for a week. I stayed home sick, went back to sleep until 9 am and then decided that I needed to muster the energy to get to the doctor to get antibiotics into my system so I could function on Saturday and kill the virus. I ended up being diagnosed with a sinus infection that went into my eye – lovely. I had never had a sinus infection before, let alone in my eye. With a slight headache, lots of pressure and an annoying eye, I slept the day away with no energy. I hadn’t been that sick in years. Saturday I decided to rally and go with it and I am so glad I did. Don’t mind the pictures of me and my sickly eye.
We had a great weekend! We started off the celebrating by going wine tasting in Woodinville, where we got married five years ago at The Hollywood Schoolhouse J . We went to three tasting rooms and enjoyed it so much. I just love it out there and do not get out there nearly as much as I used you now that Livie is here. It was such a treat. I think wine tasting is one of my very favorite past time along with shopping and traveling.
Don’t mind my blood red eye, yikes!
We went into downtown Seattle from there to enjoy the holiday season. We did a little Christmas shopping, walked around and enjoyed the lights and holiday cheer. We ended up going to dinner at Ponti in Fremont and thought it was okay, nothing special – we had a LivingSocial deal that we needed to use up. We probably won’t be going back there; pretty bland food – not worth $30 a plate. The wine was good though – I enjoyed a glass of Mark Ryan Long Haul and Jeff had a Manhattan, delish. Jeff also surprised me with diamond earrings; little stinker wasn’t supposed to get me anything, but it was very much appreciated and I was very surprised. I love the earrings so much – they look like my wedding ring so they go well
.
Trying to take a picture of the earrings
We headed back to downtown after dinner and stayed at the Arctic Club. We got all checked in and headed to Boka a few blocks away. We ended the night by enjoying a late night happy hour with some appetizers and a night cap at the Arctic Club bar and watched people. It was the best overnight and relaxing time together.
Sunday we were off to pick up the little lady who had a great weekend at Uncle Troy and Aunt Jamie’s house. I think the three of them enjoyed their time together. Thank you for watching her!
Now we are trying to wind the work week up and get ready for our Christmas and lots of get-togethers with family and friends throughout the week. It is going to be a busy, fun holiday!
So excited for Christmas with the little one!!!

Happy Holidays to you and your family. Thanks for the card. All the pictures look great.
