Happy New Year! It seems like we were just entering the year 2000. Time goes by so quickly. We had a nice and relaxing evening ringing in the New Year this year. We traveled to Puyallup for the night to celebrate with some friends and their kids. It was perfect – the kids could play with each other and the adults could watch, enjoy a beverage and chat! They played so well together, it was adorable.
We attempted to put Livie to bed around her normal time, but she resisted so we let her stay up playing until 9:30 pm. The adults made it to midnight, but not much longer after.
Midnight is late for us now (yes, we are very lame) and it just isn’t worth it with the little one. Livie was up and ready to get after the day at 6:30 am – apparently, she did not get the message that her parents needed sleep! Anyways, we made it through the first day of 2013 a little delirious, but very productive actually! Jeff and his dad worked on the powder room remodel and I was able to get things in order for getting back to the old work routine.
So far, 2013 has been pretty good and we hope that the vibe continues. The weather has been cold, but beautiful and the weekend is here once again. The weekend will consist of getting together for a holiday dinner with best friends on Saturday, watching the Seahawks game on Sunday and getting some projects done around the house; powder room work and putting Livie’s new craft table together.
We hope everyone’s 2013 is off to a good, positive start!

I was feeling very old last night watching the post Hawk game interviews, and a lot of the players weren’t event ALIVE the last time they won an away playoff game in 1983… it made me feel ancient, and yes, it seems like 2000 was just yesterday! Happy New Year!
