Last week marked the meeting of Jeff and I ten years ago. It is hard to believe a decade has passed; it seems like it was just yesterday that I saw a tall, handsome, athletic, blue-eyed boy across the bar that I had to talk to. We celebrated the decade by meeting family and good friends last Saturday at the place where we first met, the Duchess near University Village – a University of Washington staple, a true college dive bar – ha! We love it!
Many know that the very night that we met for the first time, one of my best friends met her future husband as well. Two baseball player buddies and two sorority girls meet their future mates for the first time together – it makes it so special and I cherish the fact that we share these special memories together forever.
I loved being there again, sitting at the table that we sat at ten years ago chatting and getting to know each other. It was a great excuse to get together with family and friends and enjoy pitchers of Husky beer and pool.
We had a great time and I loved getting all of our parents together too. Last Saturday also marked the first time that we have had someone watch Liv at our house that was not family. Melissa, the gal who watches her during the week came to our house to watch her! It was so sweet of her to come over and do that for us – she is amazing and her and Livie have such a special relationship. We are so fortunate to have her in our lives.
Great times, great friends! So blessed to have so many wonderful people in our lives and to have each other. Here is to another decade of growing our families, trips together and many more laughs and good memories to come ~ cheers!!!!

Aw, what a fun way to celebrate. Happy meet-a-versary!
