Our baby girl is two years old and such a smart, sweet, loving, spunky two-year old! She has her moments like all two-year olds do, but she sure is wonderful and the best gift that we could have ever gotten.
I feel so blessed to have her in my life and cherish all of our moments together, she is the best and we had a great birthday celebration for her. I loved reminiscing about the day she was born, such a magical experience that I can’t wait to do again with Leigh Stella (in January!!!).
This year we decided to have a family birthday dinner at our house to celebrate her turning two, with an Elmo theme! We invited both sets of grandparents and Uncle Troy and Aunt Jamie and it was a very nice get-together. We had her dinner the day before her birthday on Saturday. She loved having all of her favorite people together. She received so many nice gifts from family and friends that we opened before dinner. She did pretty well opening the presents, needed some help of course and would get distracted. It does get me really excited for her at Christmas after seeing her at her birthday with opening presents.
We had a yummy dinner of mahi mahi with a caper-lemon wine sauce, baked potatoes, sautéed zucchini squash, feta and walnut salad and garlic bread. My mom made an amazing crab dip as an appetizer and Jeff’s mom made her delicious refrigerator / train cake for dessert and a special little refrigerator cake for Livie and it all was perfect. She enjoyed her birthday dinner and her birthday cake. Grandpa Jim also took some great photos – thank you to all that helped!
It was a very fun evening and the perfect way to celebrate her 2nd birthday! On Sunday, the day of her birthday (11/10) we had a nice morning playing with all of her new toys and reading her new books. Then it was time for a special play-date with the Faatoafes. Don and Khaleesi came over for lunch and to play and I got to catch up with Marisa! It was such a fun afternoon and so nice to be together with the kids. I think they had a lot of fun too – Livie did have a challenge at times sharing all of her new toys, there were a lot of “mines”, but we got through it and had a great time!
On the following Monday they celebrated her birthday at “school” so she got to sit in the middle at story time, share her birthday cookies that mom made for her friends and received an adorable hat from Jenni and a baby doll from Melissa. It was a great day and they made her feel very special.
Olivia had a great birthday week celebrating and thank you to all of the family and friends that showered her with love! She is one lucky little girl who is cared for my many.
